The Fur Ball is a gala evening that celebrates the life-saving work of our organization as well as other local animal organizations. It includes a strolling cocktail reception, a sumptuous multiple-course plated dinner, live music, dancing and memorable silent and live auctions. The event attracts more than 250 animal lovers from all walks of life— community leaders, business owners, corporate executives, animal-sheltering innovators—joining “paws” to make a difference. Be a part of the Fur Ball!
Bowl-4-Animal Rescue returns on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 7pm to 10:30pm at Country Lanes in Farmington Hills, located at 30250 W 9 Mile Road, west of Middlebelt Road.
“We are ecstatic for the return of this event after a long pandemic. If you love animals, this event will be right up your alley!” said Michelle Mullen.
Non-bowlers are always welcome. Animals don’t care if you are a good bowler, a bad bowler or no bowler at all! There is a cash bar, delicious food, great music and many amazing raffles and auction prizes.
The event has grown significantly over the years. In the first 14 years, Bowl-4-Animal Rescue (along with its partner event The Fur Ball) has raised over $760,000! The 2021 online fundraising drive is going on now at www.Bowl4AnimalRescue.org. Businesses interested in sponsoring the event can click here.
Over 1/3 of the funds raised by this event come from pledges and donations! Here is how the donations assist animals:
$500 treats a small dog for heartworm
$250 covers initial medical costs for an injured cat or dog
$100 cares for a puppy from intake to adoption
$80 will spay/neuter a dog
$50 will feed all FAMD shelter cats for 2 weeks
$40 will spay/neuter a cat
$25 buys formula for an orphaned puppy or kitten
$20 buys antibiotics for one cat with a medical condition
Tickets for Bowl-4-Animal Rescue are $35 in advance ($40 at the door) and include three games, dinner and shoe rental. Meal tickets are $10. Tickets may be purchased at www.Bowl4AnimalRescue.org. We cannot wait to see you there!
