Caring Kibble Crew

Recently, several of the dogs in our food program have received a special diet recommendation from our veterinary partners. These dogs all have serious health concerns (allergies and autoimmune issues causing severe skin problems and other discomfort) that the doctors think will improve on a limited-ingredient diet.

Unfortunately, their owners, being primarily seniors and/or on disability, are unable to afford this special diet. So, we are asking for your help! By pledging just $40 per month, you can sponsor one of these sweet pups from our program by clicking the link directly to the right (See Automatic donations and then hit the “subscribe” button) or by going here to set up a monthly PayPal subscription donation and provide a healthy diet that will prevent painful flare-ups and greatly improve their overall quality of life.

Our goal is to have twenty sponsors for our “Caring Kibble Crew” program!

There is also the option to purchase the food directly through our Chewy wish list. There is even a discount for auto-shipping if you sign up to donate one bag each month!

A few of our clients in need

Snickers

This sweet girl has always had skin problems, but at approximately 10 years old now they have become even more severe. She is so itchy that she is scratching her fur off and developing painful hot spots. In addition to an allergen-friendly diet, she may need expensive daily allergy medication. Her owner might be able to come up with funds for one or the other, but not both. By providing her prescribed food we can help Snickers on her way to living her best life!

Elsa

Elsa has been in our program for years, so we were concerned when we noticed she was having increased health issues. This gentle giant is currently being treated for osteoarthritis and on-and-off urinary problems, as well as other concerns largely caused by inflammation. The doctor has recommended she stick to a strict limited-ingredient diet to help alleviate various symptoms and let her live out her golden years in comfort.

Sandy M.

Sweet senior Sandy! This lovely lady has been receiving our services for years, but as usual old age comes with increased health concerns. Our vet partners have diagnosed Sandy with an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and discomfort, and want her on a limited-ingredient diet to keep inflammation and other symptoms at bay.

Sandy W.

A youngster compared to most of our other special-needs dogs, Sandy is only about 3 years old- but already facing some of the most severe skin problems our veterinary partners have seen. Before receiving treatment this poor pup nearly chewed a hole in her paw, and she has developed bald patches and open wounds all over from scratching. She will most certainly need an allergen-friendly diet for life.

Kane

Another golden oldie in our program, Kane has had skin problems and ear infections his whole life and they have only ramped up in his old age. At his last vet appointment, the doctor suspected that his chronic ear infections were a result of an increasing food sensitivity and recommended an allergen-friendly diet to help alleviate them, as well as the itchiness that causes him to repeatedly chew his paw pads raw.
