The Parvovirus is rampant in our target area and it is not just killing puppies. It is killing adult dogs that are not vaccinated. It costs hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars to treat Parvo. And lately the dogs and puppies have not even made it with treatment. It is a highly contagious killer and the puppies and dogs suffer horribly. 

By the time ACN was called to pick up these guys, they were already too far gone.

With education, literature, newspaper articles, television spots, mobile clinics and low-cost walk-in clinics available, why do people continue to get puppies and not get them vaccinated or not keep adult dogs up-to-date on shots? We just do not understand this.

Sadly along with council from local veterinarians and local shelters we had to make the difficult decision for these poor little souls. It breaks our hearts. They had suffered enough simply because no one thought it was important to get shots.
