Donovan was rescued from an abusive situation. The owners did not want him anymore and it was evident when we picked him up, he had been beaten. He was extremely hand shy, very fearful of the owner and any arm or hand movements made him cringe.

We were fortunate to be able to get him into the Michigan Animal
Rescue League adoption program. As soon as we got him there, he had a total transformation and turned into a different dog. He picked up a tennis ball, started carrying it around and wagging his tail, which had been tucked between his legs while the owner was around.

It is amazing what can happen when you get a dog or cat about of
an abusive environment.

Thanks to our pals at MARL for getting Donovan ready for adoption with vet care and socialization. He got a wonderful home!!
