January 9, 2015: Charles

Charles has finally been rescued after living outside on a chain for the last nine years.  He has NEVER lived inside!

Thankfully, Sue was finally able to rescue him the other night while checking on outdoor dogs.  She found Charles curled up in his doghouse freezing, thin and thirsty.

The owners were unable to bring him inside and surrendered him, this is what we mean by not giving up on an animals, even after years.  We are so happy for him!  Great work Sue!

We are looking for a foster home for Charles, he does have some issues, which are understandable given the life he has led so far….

He must be an only dog and has issues with certain people.  Charles must have a fenced in yard and will require someone to commit to training with him. He is not neutered, but willbe!!  Charles hold a special place in all of the ACN volunteers hearts, for years we had tried to get him surrendered and neutered and always worried about him.

Many of the dogs that are rescued on ACN runs are special needs and have issues which may require long-term foster so please be prepared for that.

Please contact Chris (by phone only) if you are interested in fostering Charles  or have any questions:  248-545-5055.  We are in need of special needs foster homes EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Charles
