Someone in the community woke up early one morning to a strange, very skinny, friendly dog curled up on their front porch.  She was in terrible shape, missing hair and bite marks all over.  The family suspected she had been dumped at their house because people knew they were dog lovers.

This nice dog was picked up by an Animal Care Network volunteer, kept overnight and taken to a local shelter where she will be safe and cared for.

We feel that it is better and much more humane to take a dog or cat to one of the local animal shelters as opposed to just letting her go back on the streets.

Hadn’t she been through enough?

Thanks to the people in the community that look out for these poor abandoned dogs and cats.
