April 13, 2015: Spay Neuter April So Far

It is only April 13th and the Animal Care Network has already had 50 owned dogs and cats spayed and neutered for pet owners that really need the assistance. We also provide transportation for this program.

Thankfully we are working off of several different spay neuter programs at this time:

  • Partnership with the Michigan Animal Rescue League spay neuter program
  • Michigan Humane Society Free Pit Bull sterilization program
  • All About Animals transport partner program
  • Spay neuter grant for owned dogs and cats thanks to the Reitz Family Fund
  • Spay neuter assistance thanks to private donations
  • Referrals from Oakland County Pet Adoption Center
  • Partnership and grant program with Ross Hospital for Animals

At every single address that we go to the Animal Care Network packets are left, which include spay neuter specials and educational literature.

All of these programs and efforts are keeping us extremely busy, but this is what we thrive on. Every single dog and cat, puppy and kitten that gets fixed, stops more litters from being born, therefore decreasing the pet overpopulation and gets us closer to EVERYONE’s goal of No More Homeless Pets. Spay and neuter also makes for a happier, healthier pet with less health and temperament problems

Anyone that adopts out, gives away, rehomes, sells, breeds, whether intentional or “accidental” is a part of the problem, not a part of the solution.

EVERY SINGLE SPAY AND NEUTER MATTERS, EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!
BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION, PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER
