A big thank you to Frankie for joining the team this cold, cold weekend to help make sure that doghouses are appropriate, repaired and drilled on wooden pallets.

We are on the streets seven days a week checking on outdoor animals, passing out literature and talking to owners about bringing their dogs inside.

We already found too many cold dogs this weekend and this is only the beginning.

Houses are drilled on wooden pallets so that the bottom does not freeze to the ground, so they don’t fill with snow and rain and so the dog does not knock the doghouse out of reach.  They are then stuffed full with straw.

Sadly, in our target area, we have our work cut out for us!!
