April 10, 2014: PetSmart Requires all Animals to be Spayed or Neutered

Bravo to PetSmart Charities for requiring that ALL animals be spayed and neutered in order to be brought to adoption events, THIS INCLUDES PUPPIES AND KITTENS!

A big YES to early spay and neuter!

Any dog or cat, puppy or kitten that is adopted out, sold, given away on social media, passed around is one more dog or cat that potentially may add to the pet overpopulation and animal homelessness crisis down the road.

PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER NOT ONLY ALL DOGS AND CATS, BUT ALL PUPPIES AND KITTENS!!!!!

Dear Adoption Partner,
As a reminder, PetSmart Charities’ new spay/neuter policy goes in to effect today, April 10, 2014. You must now only bring spayed or neutered adoptable pets to PetSmart stores or PetSmart Charities events. This policy affects dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits.

As you know, ensuring pets are spayed or neutered before adoption plays a vital role in our efforts to reduce pet homelessness and save more lives.

For more information, please see our website. If you have additional questions, please email info@petsmartcharities.org or call 1-800-423-PETS (7387) ext. 7473.

We appreciate your commitment to saving lives and value our partnership. Thank you for all you do for the animals.

Sincerely,
