May 30, 2013: Victims of Dog Fighting

Every week the ACN rescues dogs and cats, many that are not being taken care of. We do that best that we can to help each and every animal and find homes for as many as possible. As we all know in rescue, the areas that we are working in often times have
animals that are sick, injured or their temperament has been destroyed due to the way they were treated and the environment they have been living in.

Thunder lived on a heavy tow chain for too many years, when his owner died he was moved to someone else’s backyard where he continued to be mistreated and beaten. Thunder suffered for so many years, his temperament was extremely affected by it. His extreme aggressive would not allow him to be adopted out.

Louie was trained to fight since he was a small puppy and taught to attack any other animal that he came in contact with. He had 3 homes before being surrendered to ACN for viciously attacking another dog. Another sad product of a deeply sad and abusive environment.

Trapper was attacked by another dog and had severe injuries and a broken leg. He had been living in an alley for days before ACN was able to locate him.
