July 18, 2012: ACN spay/neuter and food assistance program

Like most other animal shelters and groups, the Animal Care Network has guidelines in place for our food assistance program.

In order to get closer to and achieve everyone’s goal of no more homeless pets, dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered in order to receive continued assistance with dog and cat food. If the owners cannot afford a small copay the ACN will spay and neuter the animals for no charge and will offer this to ALL animals in the household, male or female, young or old!

This program has been incredibly successful in persuading owners to get their animals fixed and we are quite proud of our volunteers for their ability to get through to people in our target communites.

IT WORKS!!!
