Extreme heat never helps and Saturday in Inkster proved to be VERY difficult for volunteers and dogs.
Four dogs were surrendered to us, each dehydrated and in poor condition. One had to be lifted over a fence, that being easier than navigating the trash filled yard.
We were notified of each of these addresses by way of neighbors and / or city employees. Sometimes these dogs are so tucked away behind falling down garages that, unless we hear them while in a neighboring yard, they go unnoticed and simply languish.
All of the dogs we picked up are being treated at veterinary clinics and in stable condition. THANK YOU to the Good Samaritans for calling us.
