Casey & Wishbone update – March 2008

Casey & WishboneIt has been truly heartwarming to watch the progress that both Casey and Wishbone have made in the last few months since they left the Pollywood Pet Store in Mt. Clemens, MI at the Gibraltar Trade Center.

Casey……
Thank you to Jennifer Trombley from Gentle Paws Pet Massage (gentlepawspetmassage.com) for fostering Casey for a few days. It was the first time ever he was actually in a home. He has healed extremely well since his surgeries and is looking for a new permanent home. He loves other dogs and would need a completely fenced in back yard in his new home. He also does very well in puppy play time at the Pet Ritz – Lakeshore Resort in Roseville. Also, he would do well with a long distance walker (not runner) to build up the strength in his knee. He is such a love bug to everyone! Please contact the Michigan Animal Adoption Network office at 248 545-5055 to make arrangements for a Meet N Greet with Casey. He is currently staying in his suite at the Pet Ritz – Lakeshore Resort in Roseville, MI. (www.petritzlakeshore.com)

Wishbone……
Thank you to FOX 2’s Vladae Roytapel, from Alternative Canine Training, and his Trainer, Karen Bittinger,alternativecaninetraining.com) who have been able to transform Wishbone from a terrified, frightened animal to an actual “dog” who is getting better every day with his trust and comfort level of humans. He is doing terrific in his foster home as he is beginning to understand that not all humans are aggressive to animals! Wishbone will need more time in foster care to continue to gain confidence and trust. We are thrilled he has come this far in such a short time. We can’t thank Vladae enough for all he has done for him. It’s been truly amazing!!!

Also, a special thanks to Dr. Marj Field and the Staff at VCA Animal Hospitals. They have done a terrific job in caring for “our guys”! (vca.com)
