February 6, 2015: More Rescue Dogs – Experienced Foster Homes Needed

Every week, nearly every day, the Animal Care Network rescues dogs in our target areas.  They need foster homes, where they can hill out, be evaluated, receive patience, love and understanding.  And of course a warm place to stay with food and water, which sadly they previously may not have had.

This is a challenge and these are the challenging dogs that not many
people are able or willing to take into their homes.

Here are more dogs that were rescued on ACN runs this week that are being evaluated, need foster homes and may have special needs.

Logan was starving when we picked him up, he was eating a plate of
chicken bones when we arrived and has the marks of a previously embedded cable around his waste.  Has had a tough life so far.

Shane is very hard to get to know, it took three days for him to warm
up to us.  Kept outside his entire life with not much food, water or socialization.

Bounce started out as a 10 week old puppy kept outside tied to a doghouse. With good reason, she is very apprehensive of new people but gets along with other dogs well so far.  She can jump a fence with ease.
Misty came with another dog who was taken by another rescue, we assumed she liked other dogs because she lived with another male, but that is not the case.

Blaze is a complete mess!  He was kept in a crate most of the time because he was covered in urine and feces and has terrible hair loss.  He cowers in the cage and does not want to come out, he has never been on a leash and bucks like a bronco when you put one on him.   Tragically this dog has been extremely abused, neglected and traumatized.  It took FIVE days for him to warm up to initial foster.
PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE AT 248-545-5055 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS THAT NEED WORK, TRAINING AND ARE BEING EVALUATED.

EXPERIENCE, FENCED IN YARD AND A SAFE ENVIRONMENT IS A MUST.
