November 2, 2014: Kathy and Heather Rescue from Weekend Run

And here she is!

One of the prized possessions that was rescued on Kathy and Heather’s last very difficult ACN run.

Ruby was one of several emaciated dogs found at one address. Thankfully they were able to get this skinny, dwarfed, starving, thirsty little girl surrendered. (We are hoping to get the other dog this week, we are still working on this address).

As you can see Ruby is doing great in a foster home. She was bathed, vet checked, vaccinated and is eating and drinking like crazy and just enjoying being a normal, loved dog. She gets to dress up and actually sleep in a nice warm house with her own bedroom (crate) and blankets.

It is simply amazing what warmth, food and water can do for a dog, she had already gained at least four pounds.

Though the day was heartbreaking and difficult, this rescue and a few
others that day made the entire day worthwhile.

Again, great work ladies!

Ruby will remain in a foster home until she is completely healthy, fully vaccinated and spayed. If you are interested in adopting Ruby please call 248-545-5055.

If you are interested in fostering a deserving dog like Ruby call 248-545-5055.

Good, loving adopters and good, loving foster homes are ALWAYS needed, EVERY SINGLE DAY.
