October 23, 2013: Winter – First Snow!!!!!

OMG, it snowed yesterday as the Animal Care Network was getting our winter straw delivered!

Perfect timing!

The Animal Care Network is preparing for the winter, getting leaky damaged doghouses repaired, putting the houses on pallets and stuffing them with straw.

Unfortunately many of the dogs in our target area live outdoors 24/7 and we just have to make things as warm, dry and comfortable as possible for them.

If these doghouses are not drilled onto sturdy wooden pallets, they will freeze to the ground, fill with snow and ice and the big dogs will knock them around or tip them over and then they will not be able to get in them for protection from the elements!

A big thanks to Burt Crawford, Skip, Frankie, LJ and the entire volunteer teams for getting the straw donated, delivered and for helping deliver, repair and winterize these doghouses.

Way to go team!!! Together Everyone Accomplishes More!!!!
