When the ACN volunteers are checking out situations or working in backyards, we try to be aware of what is next door or behind, our eyes and ears are always open!

We were delivering a doghouse to Bubba, who we had neutered the week before and noticed a dog next door that needed help. His doghouse was leaking and his owner was admiring Bubba’s new house.

So we offered them the same deal, have your dog neutered and he will get a doghouse just like Bubba’s and they agreed. We also asked both owners to bring the dogs inside in the cold weather.

Just being aware of our surroundings can help yet another animal almost every time and that is what the Animal Care Network is all about!
