August 5, 2013: Prolapsed Uterus

This is a very serious condition which needs to be addressed immediately, very common in dogs being bred and females in heat.

The Animal Care Network had an urgent call from Sasha’s owner when this happened to her. They had rescued Sasha from a bad situation and had planned on getting her spayed but could not afford it. They did not know about ACN until this situation occurred, got the number from a friend.

They panicked when her uterus prolapsed, this was a situation that needed to be taken care of as soon as possible.  ACN called All About Animals, informed them of the situation; they fit Sasha in the next morning for surgery.

As you can see Sasha did great and the owner’s sent this message to ACN: “Hey, I wanted to thank you for everything that you did for Sasha, she’s a lot better now. I appreciate it, we don’t know what we would have done without you guys” They sent a picture of Sasha after the surgery, spayed, comfortable and content!

They were going to have her put to sleep if they could not find help because they did not want her to suffer.

Thank you All About Animals for getting Sasha in immediately!

PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR DOGS AND CATS TO AVOID SITUATIONS LIKE THIS. THIS PROCEDURE COULD COST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX, SO WHY NOT AVOID IT IF YOU CAN?

IT IS CHEAPER TO GET YOUR DOG OR CAT FIXED.

AVOID THE STRESS AND ESPECIALLY THE TRAUMA AND PAIN CAUSED TO THE ANIMAL.
