Cat Spay Neuter Clinic – May 15, 2011

The Animal Care Network (ACN) participated in another low-cost spay neuter cat clinic on Sunday May 15th at the Oakland County Pet Adoption Center with many thanks to Tigerlilly Rescue and Michigan Pet Fund Alliance for keeping the program going!

Pontiac ACN was able to have 23 cats spayed and neutered with funding from the Best Friends grant and also had 11 cats and kittens surrendered by owners with either too many cats or unwanted litters.

What a great accomplishment in a single day, to prevent so many litters of kittens in the midst of “kitten season” in Pontiac.

Please everyone, spay and neuter your cats and kittens. Many shelters or rescue groups have a low-cost program, for only 20.00 you can get your cat or kitten fixed and vaccinated!

Pontiac residents can contact 248-678-2756, low-income Oakland County residents can contact 248-391-4100. Residents from other counties, please contact your local animal shelter or Humane Society.
