Animal Care Network offers animal vaccine clinic in Pontiac

Sunday, April 7, 2013 4:00 PM EDT

The Animal Care Network is holding its bi-annual low-cost vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Center Stage Rental Hall, 536 N. Perry St., Pontiac.

The organization expects the clinic to be the largest of its kind in the state of Michigan.

The clinic will provide a variety of vaccinations for eligible animals, including distemper and parvo shots for dogs aged six weeks and older, distemper CVR shots for cats aged six weeks and older and rabies shots for both aged three months and up.

De-worming services are provided for puppies and kittens as well.

The cost for services is $10 total per animal. The clinic accepts cash only.

“In these difficult economic times, so many people are reaching out for assistance with their companion animals,” said Pam Porteous, the Animal Care Network’s manager. “Local veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians will be on-hand to not only vaccine, but to also educate the public on what vaccinations every dog and cat needs.”

Services are not limited to Pontiac residents and pet owners ages 18 and above are welcome to get their dogs and cats immunized.
