With temperatures in the teens, we saw dogs shivering in the cold on Robinwood St. in Pontiac. In recent months, animal rescue workers tells us a dozen dogs have been found dead. The cash-strapped city let go of their animal control officer making the problem worse.

“Its disgusting,” said Evan Deutsch, a volunteer with Animal Care Network. They’re on the streets every week. They say owners are abandoning dogs like never before. They’re worried problem will get worse going into winter months.
