Cookie’s owners moved and guess what? Cookie was still in the backyard at their old house. The owners contacted the Animal Care Network to pick her up. They stated she had been in the backyard for several days with no food and water and yes, it was near ninety degrees out!
We responded immediately. Thankfully Cookie had shade, because her bowls were filled with dirt. No food or water! She could have died from heat stroke.
Cookie was a little nervous and apprehensive at first, but when she realized we were there to help she welcomed us with open paws.
Cookie is a 2-year-old spayed female pit bull that does not do well with other animals. She needs a foster or permanent home. She has lived her entire life outside on a chain, but is very people friendly.
