Since the cold snap on January 19, the Animal Care Network has made 352 visits in our target areas.
These visits include welfare checks, putting doghouses on pallets, delivering straw, food and water, rescuing dogs and cats as well as calls regarding vaccines and spay neuter!
The teams have been out in full force from morning until dark stuffing doghouses with straw, and feeding and watering backyard dogs.
Besides the press releases we send out to alert owners to bring their pets inside, the volunteers try to educate and advise pet owners of the dangers of leaving the animals outside in this dangerously cold weather.
The Animal Care Network is making a difference!!!
