Meet Mindy, the Inkster Animal Care Network Manager!!

It is very difficult to get a picture her face, because she is either hugging or kissing a dog or cat that she has rescued or is helping.

 The ACN is extremely fortunate to have Mindy on the team for over ten years.  She is quite extraordinary and works tirelessly for the animals with a enormous heart and determined spirit. Working in a city that has no animal control, Mindy has her work cut out for her, an overwhelming and heartbreaking task for any one person!

This gal goes non-stop seven days a week, many times getting up at 5:00 am in the morning during the cold weather to check on dogs and cats that she has spent all night worrying about.  It is almost impossible for her to say “no” when she gets a call about an animal in trouble.  She is truly amazing.

Many of her rescued animals have the luxury of going to Mindy’s house for a taste of heaven or as she calls it “a sleepover” until she finds a rescue or shelter to take them to.

Mindy has the great talent of communicating with people and getting people to trust her, in order to get the job done.  She puts hundreds of miles on her vehicle every single week for the cause.  She also helps people in the community and the homeless by distributing blankets and other kind deeds.

Mindy works particularly well with other rescue groups and organizations, by assisting with other larger rescue efforts or participating in protests and educational seminars for various causes close to her heart.
