Unfortunately,  this is very true.  These are the types of excuses that animal shelters, rescues, groups and veterinary clinics here every day.

Please help us end this way of thinking.  Educate everyone you know that animals are for life, not until you are tired of them.    Animal ownership is a big responsibility and if you don’t think you can be there for the animals’ complete life, please don’t buy, adopt or “find” one.
